I have this instrument set up with string gauges of 70, 58,48,38,28,18 - all wound, because I prefer the sound of the heavier wound strings on a fretless guitar. Currently tuned G#-C#-F#-Bb-E-G#. Imagine a standard tuning with the G-string dropped to F# (which is my favorite guitar tuning) and all strings transposed down to a G# 6th string. As I have it set up, this guitar resides somewhere between a bass and a standard 6-string, though it can easily be strung with any gauge and tuned to whatever your imagination or material requires. I'll be happy to set it up for you to your specs.

I like a hardtail bridge for a fretless instrument, because it allows each individual string to be intonated and adjusted for height, which is quite critical on a fretless guitar. While I often employ a custom wooden floating bridge on my fretless instruments, a commercial hardtail is easily maintained and tweaked.

Housing a PAF-style humbucker, the cover was cut from the top, itself, to match the grain perfectly.

This instrument sports my classic contoured Argos shape with a few extra detailed appointments such as the hand-carved decorative lines and the tail finial. It's a beautiful guitar, similar in format to my Kronos 2, with a 660mm scale length and a Honduran rosewood neck with a fretless ebony fretboard.

PRICE: $4,250 - includes basic hardshell case
